This was her FIFTH boudoir session with me! | Kierra Josette Artistry

  • Why did you want a boudoir session with Kierra Josette- Intimate Artistry?

The first time I did a boudoir session with Kierra, I honestly didn't know what to expect. My first session was when Kierra was dipping her toes in the boudoir genre of images. (In 2014 I believe) I was curious and wanted to step out of my comfort zone. Now, it's 2018, and I have done at least 4 more boudoir sessions with Kierra.

  • What were your initial feelings BEFORE the session?

Before each session I have done, I feel so happy/confident in myself right after booking. Then the nerves set in. The first session was when Kierra was working out of her grandparents home (I think?) And I was totally psyching myself out. I drove an hour to a stranger's home to strip in front of and have her take photos of me. I felt so weird! Before my other sessions, it's a cycle of being happy, confident, then finding my flaws, anxiety sets in and worry that somehow I won't be good enough. I have felt like I would disappoint myself and the photographer for asking them to take these images!

  • How (if any) did your feelings change during or after your boudoir session?

During the session, I still felt strange at first, but as the session went on, it all melted away. Kierra is so great at directing you and creating the best shots to show off what you like about your body. After my sessions I feel so proud of myself, for putting myself out there, for rocking a session I didn't ever imagine myself doing. And now I love sharing that experience with others. I encourage others to go out of their comfort zones and just go for it! My last session with Kierra, I talked my boyfriend into doing a couples session. We had both gained some weight over the holidays and both didn't feel so comfortable. During the session, we both enjoyed the time, all our worries faded and afterwards, he couldn't stop talking about how great is experience was. Even though we didnt know what the images looked like yet. Talking to other couples and bringing up our session, he says nothing but positive things about his experience and how well Kierra is at guiding her sessions.

  • What was your favorite part of your boudoir experience?

Being able to encourage others because of my experience. It feels great to have images of yourself to be proud of! I sometimes put them as my own phone background.

  • How (if any) did your boudoir experience change your overall being?

Whenever I don't feel too great about how I look, I think back to my boudoir session and how I felt before it, then I look at the images and tell myself that I look sexy! I have to remind myself sometimes that the sexy girl in the images is me, and that feels amazing!

  • What advice or information would you give to someone wanting to book a session with Kierra?

Just go for it! Kierra is incredible. Not just as a photographer, but as a human being. She is so kindhearted and guides you through your session so effortlessly. She knows all the right ways to bring out your very best. It is definitely worth it!

  • Anything else you would like to add about your boudoir experience or information you would like to give to a potential woman thinking about boudoir:

Nothing feels better than seeing yourself through the eyes of someone else. We are so much more than we think and more beautiful than we give ourselves credit for. Seeing yourself through the eyes of Kierra and her camera is what every woman should experience.

All of that was totally true! She was one of my very first boudoir clients, ever! My first studio was in my grandparents basement. I am so honored to have met her (and him!). Throughout the years I've been able to document their journey and it's been so fun. Here's a mix of previous, and their latest boudoir session with me!
